From Parma to Bari, MECSPE is always on the run and doubles its commitment with manufacturing industry 4.0 putting people first. <\/strong>
\nExhibitors and visitors have their say about this ever-growing trade fair, <\/strong>which keeps improving year after year<\/strong><\/p>\n

From North to South, Senaf has consolidated its presence across Italy by supporting small and medium enterprises. And now, it\u2019s ready to inaugurate the first edition of MECSPE Bari (Fiera del Levante, from 28 to 30 November 2019) while already preparing the 2020 edition, which will take place in Parma.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Another record-breaking edition ended with 56,498 visitors and 2,355 companies occupying an area of about 120,000 m2<\/sup>. Now, MECSPE<\/strong> is already preparing for the next events. From this year, the flagship event of manufacturing industry 4.0 promoted by Senaf<\/strong> will engage a wider audience with a new event in Bari (Fiera del Levante, from 28 to 30 November 2019<\/strong>) before returning to Fiere di Parma<\/strong> (from 26 to 28 March 2020<\/strong>). In view of the next two events, it\u2019s time to take stock of the feedback received from exhibitors and visitors also about the Innovation Tunnel<\/strong> after the last successful edition. The level of satisfaction is clearly very high.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

MECSPE is a trade fair that keeps growing<\/strong>, improving year after year (according to 57% of the Italian sample). 8 interviewed people out of 10<\/strong> \u2013 same datum for foreign visitors \u2013 said that they promote the trade fair as a means to convey the latest market novelties<\/strong> (80%), find or visit suppliers<\/strong> (65%), and for continuous professional development purposes<\/strong> (36%). What emerges, in particular, is that 82% of young people<\/strong> aged 18-24 have shown greater appreciation. This proves that the factory of the future does not discourage new generations[1]<\/a> and that for them it\u2019s important to invest time to delve into the evolution of Industry 4.0. <\/strong>In general terms, automation and robotics<\/strong> are at the top of the ranking of preferred continuing education fields<\/strong> with 50% of preferences, followed by planning<\/strong> (39%), integration of technological systems <\/strong>and production organisation and management<\/strong> (27%), and simulation and management of complex production systems<\/strong> (24%). During the three-day event, the interviewed people admitted that their professional activities<\/strong> can benefit from the industry players met there (55%), the tests of new products\/techniques\/presentations (48%), attending special initiatives (35%), workshops and conferences (22%).<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

As from the exhibitors\u2019 point of view, 80%<\/strong> has declared to be satisfied by the number of visitors, who were considered high-quality<\/strong> and in line<\/strong> with their expectations. In fact, 8 out of 10 exhibitors would promote the trade fair and would recommend a friend or colleague to attend as an exhibitor. The top reasons that drive attendees to an MECSPE event include the need to build new business relationships<\/strong> (91%), consolidate one\u2019s corporate image<\/strong> (73%), verify the interest of their products<\/strong> (35%), assess the market and the competition<\/strong> (29%) and be informed and updated <\/strong>(23%).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Senaf<\/strong>\u2019s commitment during the last 18 editions of MECSPE<\/strong> will continue for the next few months for other two trade fairs <\/strong>to support entrepreneurs, start-ups, universities, research centres and associations. If Parma has always been the benchmark for an audience coming from Northern Italy (2019 data: 42% from the north-west and 45% from the north-east), the Apulian event aims at bringing the manufacturing industry of Central and Southern Italy and of the Mediterranean area together.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most dynamic companies attend trade fairs, such as MECSPE, to keep always up-to-date with the latest products and solutions on the market, find inspiration, network, and learn new solutions to improve people\u2019s skills and expertise<\/em> \u2013 commented Maruska Sabato, Project Manager at MECSPE<\/strong> \u2013 Nevertheless, nowadays, the tendency is to go beyond borders with an approach that is more and more influenced by the global and digital market. That\u2019s why we believe that expanding our presence in Italy is necessary if we are to meet any type of requirement. Bringing MECSPE to Apulia is something that makes us proud and brings us closer to this part of Italy, overcoming the impression of a country divided in two. On the contrary, this country is embracing the change with the same enthusiasm and confidence.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n

MECSPE Bari will involve technological partners and major companies from the local industrial sector, such as Confindustria Bari BAT, Confartigianato, CNA,<\/strong> the Italian Technology Cluster Intelligent Factories<\/strong>, AIAD <\/strong>(Italian Industries Federation for Aerospace, Defence and Security), AIDAM<\/strong> (The Italian Association of Mechatronics Automation), AITEM <\/strong>(the Italian Association of Manufacturing Technologies), ASCOMUT<\/strong> (the Italian Association of Machine Tool Technology), CDO Meccanica<\/strong>, CETMA <\/strong>(the European Research Centre of Technologies, Design, and Materials). In terms of continuing education, the ITS Cuccovillo Foundation<\/strong> will coordinate an area of the trade fair that aims at bringing young people closer to the world of work. An important topic for MECSPE, which wants to help companies search for specialised personnel.<\/p>\n

MECSPE\u2019s support to small and medium enterprises will travel to the other side of Italy to bring the best digital technologies and solutions to Bari through various product categories, such as machinery, automation, production logistics, technology 4.0, outsourced processing and services, materials, plastic, rubber and composites<\/strong>. The Digital Factory 4.0 <\/strong>initiative will demonstrate the crucial role 4.0 production technologies are playing in different sectors and applications in the manufacturing industry.<\/p>\n

[1]<\/a> According to the MECSPE Italia Monitoring Centre, in the second semester of 2018, 6 entrepreneurs out of 10 believed that hard, manual work makes the factory not so attractive to younger generations.<\/p>\n

The touring events continue for Senaf with the aim of travelling across the strategic areas of industrial districts that are in the process of joining the Industry 4.0 national plan. The next events will take place on the 27 May in Padua<\/strong>, 19 June in Ancona<\/strong>, and then in Bari<\/strong>, Napoli<\/strong>, and Florence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
